Description
Behind the name Westport lays a vatted malt, 99% of which comes from the Glenmorangie distillery and 1% from another distillery. This small modification, which is done before bottling, allows Glenmorangie to protect its brand. Proposed by the bottler Wilson & Morgan, this Westport was distilled in 2004 and aged for 15 years in a refill sherry butt which yielded 539 bottles. Bottled at cask strength, this dry whisky reveals notes of nuts, sultana raisins, dried figs and a winey touch on a peppery finish.
