This heavily peated Port Charlotte (40ppm) is made with 100% Scottish barley from Inverness-shire. It’s a 7 years old whisky with a maturation spent for 50% in first fill American whisky casks and for 50% in second fill French wine casks. Both are then combined for an extra year in the finest French oak cask from the Bordeaux left bank (Mouton Rothschild Cask).
Taste according to the distillery: coconut, honey, vanilla, dry smoke and leather notes.
