Description
Legend has it that Clynelish was once lashed by an epic blizzard. The exceptionally chilly storm threatened to ruin precious barrels, whose contents froze in the icy winds, until a mysterious feline creature silently appeared. Impervious to the freezing temperatures, it laid its hypnotic golden eyes on the barrels, wrapping them in a cocoon of magical warmth and protecting them from the cold forever. In recognition, this wild cat creature is immortalised as a symbol of the distillery. This Clynelish 12 year old cask strength whisky is proposed as part of Diageo's special release 2022. It is matured in refill American oak casks and finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez seasoned sherry casks.
