With this Explorers series, the Teeling distillery explores the maturation of whiskey in different types of cask. For this 15 Year Old, 11 Year Old malt and grain 'corn' whiskies were married for 4 years in old Japanese Mugi Shochu casks after maturing in ex-bourbon barrels, and developed a different and exciting taste experience. A beautifully smooth whiskey with fruity notes of sweet apple, pear, plum and lychee, accompanied by sweet oriental spices, candied ginger and jasmine tea.
