Focus on organic with this Bruichladdich 2010. This edition is made with certified organic barley, harvested in 2009 at Mid Coul farm near Inverness. It seems that organic barley gives more fruitiness at the distillation and a more viscous texture, according to the distillery. Distilled in 2010, this whisky has been aged for 8 years in heavily charred American oak casks, first fill ex-bourbon casks. A whisky that is bottled on the island of Islay unchill-filtered and colouring free.
