Description
Lochlea is a Lowlands farm distillery founded in 2018. They produce their own barley for the distillery and it is said that the poet Robert Burns worked on the farm for some years. For this first cask strength edition, Lochlea is proposing a whisky composed entirely of first-fill casks, 30% bourbon and 70% Oloroso sherry.
Tasting notes of the distillery: On the nose, a fruit punch with notes of cigar and coffee beans. On the palate, the distillery's typical fruitiness and Brazil nuts. The finish is slightly tangy, with orange syrup and oak.
