Description
It is a peated Loch Lomond under the name Inchfad and for this single cask edition of 284 bottles proposed by Meadowside, a whisky aged for 17 years in a refill hogshead cask. Distilled in February 2005, it is bottled at cask strength in April 2022 with its natural colour and without chill filtration.
Tasting notes by the bottler: Sweet peat aromas with some heavily charred oak. The palate is silky smooth, hints of spiced ginger, salted liquorice, black pepper with treacle. The finish is long and warming with peat smoke, some medicinal notes aniseed with roasted hazelnut.
