Description
Its name Alba means in Gaelic "Scotland" but it is also the name of the American white oak, Quercus Alba, which is used for the manufacture of the bourbon barrels. And it is in this type of barrels, ex-bourbon, that Glenrothes Alba Reserve is aged. For your information and to avoid any confusion, this whisky is found these days under the name Glenrothes Bourbon Cask Reserve.
