Description
The Macallan distillery is particularly well known for its aging in sherry casks. The work begins in the forests of Galicia with the selection of oaks trees. The wood is then dried in Andalusia and seasoned with sherry for 18 months. The casks thus seasoned take the road to Scotland to receive the new spirit leaving the still. This is the case for this 12 year old Macallan exclusively aged in oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez in Spain. A fine whisky for aficionados of the Macallan distillery.
