Located in Glasgow, the Strathclyde grain distillery has probably not the charm of a malt distillery but the result in the glass is not less tasty. In particular this 28 year old single grain that will surprise some with its exotic notes. It is distilled in 1990 from the Sovereign range and proposed in 2019 by the independent bottler Hunter Laing. This whisky aged in a refill barrel (ref. HL16786) was bottled at cask strength with its natural colour. Limited to 174 bottles.
Tasting notes by the Rêves de Whisky team: A feeling of being there, close to the well-oiled machinery of the distillery, banana and green mango and a good caramel presence.
