It is in Japan, on the island of Okinawa, that this rum has been produced at the Helios distillery since 1961. The island, which is located 1500 kilometres south of Tokyo, has a semi-tropical climate that is favourable to the culture of sugar cane and it is with a Pot-Still that it is distilled after a long fermentation. This molasses rum is then aged for a minimum of 5 years in oak barrels.
