Description
Until 2002 the Ardmore distillery operated with direct heating of the stills with coal. A process replaced since by indirect heating with steam. Perhaps this old method is reflected in this 1996 vintage, an old whisky with a light smoke and a touch of leather. Distilled in 1996, this whisky is aged in a single cask refill hogshead numbered HL14467 until 2017, date of its bottling at cask strength with its natural colour and without chill filtration. A limited edition of only 90 bottles.
