This 2023 edition of Michel Couvreur named Alekse takes its name from the ancient Greek meaning "who protects". This is a powerful whisky with delicate floral notes on the nose. The palate is full of energy, with ginger and spices. The finish is smooth, fresh and aniseed-flavoured. This whisky, distilled on 14 January 2008 in Scotland, has matured for 15 years in an old Oloroso butt in the semi-humid part of Michel Couvreur's cellar. A single malt bottled at cask strength.
