Description
The Ben Nevis distillery is located not far from the mountain of the same name (the highest point of Scotland with 1343 meters) which feeds the distillery's spring with its waters. Founded in 1825, throughout its history men have forged the character of this whisky, even reaching as far as Japan, where it has been in the hands of the Nikka group since 1989.
Tasting notes of the distillery: On the nose, rich in character with floral aromas, honey, citrus fruits of orange and beeswax and a touch of caramel and vanilla. On the palate, initial spicy notes lead to cereal flavours and a smooth dark chocolate finish.
