The Roe & Co distillery is located in the heart of Dublin city, in an old historic building of the Guinness brewery. It is named after the Roe family, pioneers in the production of Irish whiskey, including the distillery which closed in 1926 and was near to where it is today. For the memory, only the old tower of the windmill, the St-Patrick’s Tower, remains and it inspired the designers in the creation of the bottle. The Roe & Co whiskey appeared in 2017, it is a blend of malt whiskey and grain whiskey aged exclusively in bourbon casks.
Tasting notes of the distillery:
On the nose: creamy, delightfully fragant.
On the palate: notes of soft spice and mellow spun sugar along with warm hints of spiced pears and woody vanilla.
The finish: lingering and gentle, ending with a light creaminess.
