In 1876, the Watt family, the former owner of the distillery, ran a horse named Tyrconnell at 100-1 for a famous race in Ireland. Tyrconnell won the race, made the fortune of the Watt family, and it is ever since commemorated on the label of this whiskey. A fresh and smooth whiskey from the Cooley distillery elaborated with 100% of malted barley, distilled twice and aged in ex-bourbon casks.
