Founded in 2014, the Glasgow 1770 distillery takes its name from one of the first Glasgow distilleries founded in 1770 which disappeared over a hundred years ago. For this 52ppm peated whisky, an aromatic peat rich in heather from the Scottish Highlands is used. A whisky aged in virgin oak casks and matured for 6 months in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is bottled with its natural colour and without chill filtration.
Tasting notes by the Rêves de Whisky team: A single malt with a smooth peat, notes of honey, red berries, dried figs and then tobacco and black pepper.
