For this Cask Strength Release No. 1, the Highland Park Distillery focuses on a robust and intense whisky that enthusiasts may or may not dilute according to their own tasting pleasure. This whisky was matured predominantly in sherry seasoned American oak casks and bottled not chill-filtered and with its natural colour in order to preserve its DNA as much as possible.
Tasting notes of the distillery: Sweet and smoky on the nose with aromas of violets and ripe vanilla. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with toffee, heather honey, nutmeg and citrus fruits that give way to an exotically spiced crème brûlée finish.
