Description
There are now two distilleries on the island of Arran. In the north, Arran (recently renamed Lochranza) and in the south of the island since 2019 its little sister Lagg which focuses on the production of peated whisky. This Corriecravie edition is made with Concerto barley, 50ppm peat from the north-east of Scotland, matured in ex-bourbon casks and refined for 6 months in ex-Oloroso hogshead casks from the Miguel Martin bodega.
Tasting notes of the distillery: On the nose, dark chocolate and spicy red fruit. On the palate, rich and delicious, with elegance and subtle notes of charred embers and hazelnut. The finish is long and persistent.
