The Hepburn's Choice range proposed by the Laing family represents rather young whiskies with an alcohol content reduced to 46%, but especially single casks, bottled with their natural colour and without chill filtration. This Benriach was distilled in 2010 and aged for 10 years in a sherry butt. I find in this whisky notes of blackberries and rhubarb with a little caramel, a slight astringency and a finish on a dry sherry.
