Description
Smögen is a micro-distillery founded in 2009 north in the north of Göteborg, not far from the west coast of Sweden. The distillery works with Swedish malt and peated malt from Scotland. This Smögen 90 Proof is made with the Optic barley variety, peated at 50 ppm. It is a small batch L001 that is aged for 9 years in three bourbon casks from Maker's Mark distillery. The whisky is bottled with its natural colour and without chill filtration.
Tasting notes by the Rêves de Whisky team: We start with dessert with vanilla and crème brûlée, followed by herbal and iodine notes complemented by a wood fire and smoked herring.
