Description
This blend is made at Glenallachie Distillery with a high participation (47%) of malt distilleries from the Northern Highlands, Islay and Speyside, joined by grain whisky. The whiskies started their journey in a combination of American ex-bourbon, hogshead and Spanish sherry casks. Once blended, the whisky is returned to casks for a second maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso puncheons and American virgin oak casks. A whisky bottled with its natural colour and without chill filtration.
Tasting notes by the Rêves de Whisky team: It is a greedy whisky with a nice intensity and a very subtle touch of peat, notes of heather honey, orange zest and ginger.
