This expression celebrates the small and vibrant community of the 212 inhabitants of the island of Jura and its unique distillery. A whisky distilled in 2006 and matured for 13 years in American white oak ex bourbon barrels. It has an additional finish in Chinkapin oak barrels (a native oak to eastern and central North America) of the Ozark mountain range of Missouri.
Tasting notes of the distillery:
One the nose: Lemon cake, cinnamon spice and creamy toffee
On the palate: poached pear and a burst of sherbet before a finish of roasted pistachios
