Description
This rum was distilled in 2010 at the rumery Foursquare on Barbados Island. It is made with a blend of distillates from pot-still and column-still and then aged for 11 years on site in ex-bourbon casks until the arrival of the sailing ship Tres Hombres where it was transferred into an ex-Moscatel cask before embarking for a 4-month dynamic maturation at sea through the Caribbean to Europe. It then rested for a further 9 months in the cellar of the Frères de la Côte in Saint-Etienne before being bottled at cask strength.
Tasting notes by the Rêves de Whisky team: On the nose, fruity notes with cocoa and coffee that follow on the palate with a punchy well-integrated alcohol and a beautiful grape sweetness that continues with a vanilla coconut finish.
