Description
First of an experimental series, this Glenfiddich IPA is the product of a close collaboration between the Glenfiddich distillery and a craft brewer in the Speyside. The experience begins with the creation of an adequate IPA beer (Indian Pale Ale). This beer spends four weeks in American oak casks that were previously used for the maturation of Glenfiddich whiskies. The beer is bottled and the casks freshly impregnated with hops are once again filled with whisky for a 12-week finish. Result: a play of fresh flavours with presence of hops and a zesty citrus.
