Description
Before the revival of the Teeling distillery in 2015, the Teeling family owned the Cooley distillery, and that's where their old whiskies still come from. Rising Reserve No.1 is a 21-year-old Irish single malt that was initially aged in ex-bourbon casks, then matured a second period in high-quality Carcavelos casks. Bottled at 46% alcohol, without chill filtration, this whiskey is limited to 6,000 bottles.
Tasting notes from the distillery: Green apple, citrus fruit, honey and candyfloss on the nose. On the palate, stewed fruit with caramel, wood tannins and cinnamon. The finish is long with woody notes and rich roasted cocoa.
