Description
The Glenkinchie Distillery is located in the Lowlands, a short bus ride from the city of Edinburgh. In the range of the Distillers Editions, the whiskies benefit from a finish for a few months in a particular type of barrel. For this Glenkinchie, after ten years of aging in refill casks, the whisky spent its second maturation in Amontillado wine casks. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2020, this single malt with a light and sweet flavour typical of the Lowlands turns out to be perfect as an aperitif or, as proposed by the distillery, in pairing with a cheescake.
