This molasses rum originates from Guyana and was distilled in 2005 with the metal Coffey still of the Diamond distillery. It began its maturation in the tropics in second fill ex-bourbon casks and then matured in Europe for another 3 years in three second fill whisky casks. It was bottled in 2020 at 15 years old for an edition of 868 bottles.
Tasting notes from the bottler: rather oily, rich with notes of toasted brown sugar, fruity, dried figs, vinous, coffee and dark chocolate.
